Some of you already know me, some of you may not. But we all have something in common: when Mike Bonin dropped out of the CD-11 race on January 27, we all breathed a collective sigh of relief. Although the recall effort did not qualify, Nico, Katrina, and each of us worked too hard to let more of the same walk through the door we opened. Together, we created this opportunity for change and we can’t let it slip away.
In just about six weeks, you will receive your ballot for the June 7 primary. We will choose a new Mayor, a new City Attorney, and a new CD-11 Councilmember. With so many problems facing our City, especially here on the Westside, it is imperative that we make the right decisions. Click here to read why I’m the right choice to replace Mike Bonin.
I launched my campaign last year before the recall effort even got started, and I am the only candidate in this race who endorsed the recall. All of the other candidates waited until it seemed the recall would succeed or until after their friend Mike Bonin dropped out. Where were they when our District needed them?
During that time, crime on the Westside hit all time highs and I started working to protect or front line heroes. As your Councilmember, I will invest in public safety to keep our families, neighborhoods, and businesses safe. That’s why I am endorsed by the Los Angeles Police Protective League and the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association, the organizations that represent our frontline police officers, park rangers, and airport police.
When Mike Bonin came for our beaches and parks, I worked shoulder to shoulder with many of you to fight to save them. I’ve been working to protect the Ballona Wetlands from the environmental damage caused by the Jefferson RV encampment. I’ve also been talking to encampment residents to learn what we must do to get people off the streets. You can read my detailed plan here.
I am proud to be endorsed by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce because I know that thriving businesses mean thriving communities.
As a practicing attorney for more than 20 years, I help cities and businesses make policy decisions, adopt best practices, and save millions of dollars. Check out TraciPark.com to find out more about my plans and what I stand for.
When our District demanded change, I answered the call. I hope you will join my campaign and help see this effort across the finish line. I could really use your help.
