Protecting our iconic beaches and community parks is vital – and saving our planet for future generations is essential. Our beach communities are the heart and soul of Los Angeles, where people from across the City and County and beyond come to relax and connect with nature. Our beaches are also a critical asset to the local economy and the most precious natural resources in all of Los Angeles. Traci will fight to ensure that our green spaces, public parks, and beaches are preserved for the safe enjoyment of everyone.
Traci On The Issues
We have to face the facts: much of CD-11 has become a place that isn’t safe for children, families, visitors, and everyday residents. From fires on our hillsides to unacceptable crime against residents, we need to draw a line that lives up to our values and protects our communities.
Traci will fight at City Hall to enhance public safety, reduce crime and violence, provide adequate resources for first responders, and make our neighborhoods and public spaces safer for everyone.
Traci recognizes that confidence and trust are essential for police to perform the necessary function of keeping our community safe. She will work cooperatively with police leadership and unions to ensure they have the resources and training necessary to compassionately serve the City’s ever-growing and diverse population.
Traci is dedicated to protecting the parks and beaches of CD-11, and making LA live up to its values on the environment.
Traci’s idea of a fun day at the beach is walking along the shore picking up trash. As an avid outdoors-woman, she cares deeply about our oceans and wetlands, our local mountains, and our wildlife populations. She recognizes the devastating impacts of climate change, pollution, and loss of irreplaceable natural resources. Traci will fight at City Hall for sustainable policies that prioritize these growing concerns and find ways to incentivize clean energy and green investment in CD-11. The City of Los Angeles should be a leader on climate issues across the entire State, and beyond.
Traci is heartbroken over the state of unhoused persons living on the streets across our City and furious about the broken promises current leadership made to our communities. The abject failure of our elected leaders has led to a situation where people are dying on the streets of Los Angeles on a daily basis.
Traci will insist upon an honest conversation about the causes of homelessness, the need to spend our resources wisely, and what must be done to address mental health and substance abuse. Most of all, she will demand action and data-driven results both for the unhoused and the community at large.
Together, we can create a livable city where families can raise children in safe neighborhoods.
Los Angeles saw more business closures than any other City in the country during Covid-19. Half of those closures are expected to be permanent. Worse, women and minority-owned businesses were the most vulnerable. As we emerge from the pandemic, local businesses need the City’s support more than ever. Traci will look for ways to help the Westside business community and workers thrive. From restaurants to film and movie production to tourism, Traci will support economic recovery solutions that prioritize local businesses so that we can restore one of the most vibrant and diverse economies in the State.
Traci will support initiatives that restore CD-11 to a leading destination for creative, culinary, recreation, culture and event-based tourism. With the Super Bowl coming in 2022, and the Olympics returning to Los Angeles in 2028, we have a once in a generation opportunity to welcome the world and supercharge our local economy – but only if we have the leadership it takes to make it a success!
Traci frequently hears from stakeholders across the District that they feel ignored and dismissed by current leadership. Emails and phone calls are not returned, and invitations to community discussions are declined. It’s time for that change! Traci is committed to open dialogue with the residents and community members of CD-11, and she wants to work with you to identify and resolve the urgent problems facing our District. Traci will collaborate with the local community and fight at City Hall for the changes YOU want!
